A new Up2Date is available for Sophos UTM. Release 9.104 fixes some bugs and increases the stability of your UTM 9 installation. While you will get considerably more detailed information from our Wireless Protection we also changed behavior for the RED/VPN notifications. We have also improved the performance for DNS lookups in our Web Filter. Read on to see the whole list of changes.

Current Description. A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the WebAdmin of Sophos SG UTM before v9.705 MR5, v9.607 MR7, and v9.511 MR11. Up2Date Installation: Sophos Up2Date technology makes it easy to upgrade your Sophos UTM to the latest version. There are two ways to apply an already-downloaded Up2Date package to the system:

1. Log on to WebAdmin, navigate to Management >> Up2Date >> Overview and use Update to latest version now to install the Firmware Up2Date. Click on the “Watch Up2Date Progress in new window” and an extra browser window will show the progress of the Up2Date installation. (The System administrator will receive a notification email once the Up2Date process has finished.) Download advanced ip scanner for mac.

2. Download the Up2Date package from our HTTP or FTP Server and install it under Management >> Up2Date >> Advanced:

Sophos hat heute einen Hotfix mit der Version UTM 9.510-5 bereit gestellt.

Damit wird das Problem bezüglich der Empfängerverifizierung via callout in der Firmware 9.510-4 behoben.

Update: Sophos hat UTM 9.6 veröffentlicht. Die Betaphase ist beendet. Weitere Informationen findet Ihr in diesem Artikel: Sophos UTM 9.600-5 verfügbar.

Der Fix von knapp 14 MB kann unter folgender Adresse heruntergeladen und installiert werden: ftp://ftp.astaro.com/pub/UTM/v9/up2date/. Solltet Ihr noch die 9.509-3 installiert haben, müsst Ihr die ca 175 MB große Updatedatei laden. Die Firmware 9.510-4 steht auf dem FTP-Server nicht mehr zur Verfügung.

Folgende Fehler wurden behoben:

Freecell solitaire for mac free download. Auf meiner Testumgebung funktioniert die Empfängerverifizierung via Serveranfrage wieder anstandslos.

Durch die neue Firmware ist es nun auch möglich, die TLS Version über das Webinterface anzupassen. Unter Email Protection -> SMTP -> Erweitert ist diese nun zu finden. In den vorherigen Firmwares hätte man dies noch umständlich über die exim.conf anpassen müssen.

Man sollte die Firmware dringend installieren! Sophos fixt die Schwachstellen CVE-2011-3389, CVE-2017-3145 und CVE-2018-8897. Diese werden teilweise als sehr kritisch eingestuft. Siehe dazu den Artikel bei dfn-cert.de.

Update: Viele von Euch haben ja schon bemerkt, dass es sporadisch Fehlermeldungen gibt, wenn man auf den Mailmanager und das Userportal zugreifen möchte.

Als Workarround soll man zwar seine Browsereinsellungen zurücksetzen. Es reicht allerdings aus, wenn Ihr die Browserseite mehrmals aktualisiert (F5), damit es wieder funktioniert!

Update: Denkt daran, dass die Links im Qurantänereport auf https umgestellt worden sind. Freigabelinks in alten Qurantäneberichten müssen im Webbrowser manuell umgestellt werden. Alternativ benutzen Eure Kunden bitte das Userportal. Außerdem solltet Ihr auf Eurer UTM prüfen, ob unter Email Protection -> Qurantänebericht -> Erweitert der richtige Hostname eingetragen ist, auf dass das SSL-Zertifikat ausgeschrieben ist.

Update: Es ist ein weiterer Bug bekannt. Die Zertifikate der internen Benutzer in der Email Encryption lassen sich nicht herunterladen. Ein Klick auf Herunterladen zeigt keine Wirkung.

Der Fehler ist für mich allerdings nicht so kritisch, da ich die internen Benutzerzertifikate ohnehin extra sichere.
