When I first starting yard sale shopping, it was pretty easy to locate garage sales happening around me. I’d pick up the local paper, head to the classifieds section and circle the garage sale listings that I wanted to check out. Unfortunately, it’s not that easy anymore. Not many people are listing their garage sales in newspapers anymore due to the high cost. Instead many garage sale hosts are listing their sales online on free garage sale listing websites.

How to Find Garage Sales Online
There are several websites you can use to locate garage sales happening around you. Some sites offering garage sale listings, while others offer sales featured on a map. One of those websites is our site, YardSales.net. In order to find garage sales around you, here’s what you need to do:
- Visit YardSales.net
- Click on “Browse Sales” on the “Buyers” Sign
- This should bring up a listing of garage sales going on in your area
- Click on the Map tab at the top of the screen to see all of the local sales on a map
- Save the sales that you want to visit and create a route using the Route feature
Garage Sale Mobile Apps
Alternatively, there is also a way of finding garage sale maps going on around you with your mobile device. One of the apps that we recommend is the Garage Sales by Map app. It’s FREE and allows you to find garage sales while you are out in the field.
